In spite of many challenges and inequities related to animal husbandry support and trust, Uttarakhand state growth continuously in milk production as compared to other Himalayan states, and is on the move constantly in this area.Dairying has been considered as a potential means of alleviating large scale unemployment,especially in rural areas. As Women play a key role in animal, farm and home management. dairying can be the best solution to generate family income levels. In women empowerment direction uttarakhand dairy co-operative works on not only improves the socio-economic status of rural women, but also assures a sustained and assured means of income to supplement their income.
