To provide employment to the rural people at the village level, Aanchal has covered all 13 districts in the state through its 11 District Level Member Co-operative Milk Unions  to maintain continuous growth in milk production, Aanchal is doing collective efforts with the help of concern associated Member Milk Unions. Schemes under State and Central Governments like IDDP, RKVY, NPDD, etc are being implemented by organizations for the economic and social upliftment of farmers. 

Govt of Uttarakhand and Uttarakhand Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited (Brand Aanchal). About 50,000 small and marginal dairy farmers in the state would directly benefit from the scheme. The scheme is a catalyst towards the vision of “Atmanirbhar Bharat” by creating additional income & employment generation through commercial activities by promoting commercial dairy farming and milk booths in the State. by giving subsidized dairy loan in uttarakhand

National Programme for Dairy Development

Funding Pattern : 50% Central Grant and 50% State Share on infrastucture work, 100% Central Grant on rural development work associated with setting up dairy cooperative societies.

Districts covered:

  1. Nainital
  2. U S Nagar
  3. Dehradun
  4. Haridwar
  5. Pithoragarh

Project Period : 2015-16 to 2018-19(4 Years), extended up to 2019-20 by GOI.

Total Project Cost: Rs 1868.88 Lakh (GOI share – 1400.69 Lakhs & State share – 468.19 Lakhs)

Activities Perform under NPDD

  1. Strengthening of infrastructure of District Milk Unions.
  2. Establishment of Milk outlets
  3. Purchase of Deep freeze and visi-cooler for development of marketing infrastructure..
  4. Organization of village cooperative socities
  5. Construction/ Establishment of milk and milk product testing lab.
  6. Manpower Skill Development Programme like Farmer Induction Programme, Staff training, societies board director training program
